More than 15 artists and artisans on three floors of the historic James Library featuring custom jewelry by Kim Spires, Jody Cash, Adrienne Gatien and others; handbags by Nina Berkowitz, hand knits, organic honey, trays, Christmas ornaments and other unique items by South Shore artists and craftspeople.

The 4th Annual One-Town One –Book event

Marley and Me

What happens when an entire town reads the same book and then gathers at related events to help build community?

The 2008 book choice is Marley and Me by John Grogan. Join fellow residents and read this heartwarming book about a young family and the wonderful dog that taught them some life lessons.

Co-sponsored by the James Library and the Norwell Public Library.

Pick up your copy of the book at either location and attend some of the events.

Pet Rescue and Adoption presented by Sue Carson of Greyhound Rescue and Diane St. Ours from the Scituate Animal Shelter. Free. All ages welcome.

The third biennial Books – in- Bloom event is a glorious celebration of books and flowers.

Creative floral displays depicting books are on exhibit for two days on all three floors of the James Library. Created by local artists and book lovers, this is one of the year’s most popular events. The opening party on Friday May 16 is a benefit for the library. Displays will also be on exhibit on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m.  –1 p.m. Call 781-659-7100 for ticket information.

Live jazz, tour the displays, enjoy light fare, the raffles and silent auction.
