Youth Group

Our First Parish Youth Group Grades 9 - 12

High schoolers are invited to be part of our multi-congregational Youth Group including members from Scituate, Cohasset, and Rockland. Youth Group is a time and place where teens can completely be themselves and are valued for their diversity and individuality, just as they are. This is a time to be real, explore identity in all its forms, support each other, listen, share, hang out, and also make great things happen. Youth Group allows teens to put their UU values into action, planning outings, projects, and conferences. Teens build self awareness, confidence, and friendships as they make the world a better place just by being themselves...together.

Youth Group meets every other Sunday evening from 5pm - 7pm, as well as at other times for youth conferences and various events. Of course, teens are always welcome to join us in Sunday service!

Youth Group participated in a CON in Sharon from March 24-25. The CON organizers arranged for students to attend the gun violence rally on that day as well. We are grateful for their flexibility and creativity in making both events possible. Youth Group is also coordinating a youth-led service at Channing Church in Rockland on April 22. This is a win-win for everyone, as Channing is without a minister and this is an excellent opportunity for the teens to take a leadership role!
